Do I really need a flu shot? Isn’t the flu just a bad cold?
Yes and no! Yes, you really do need a flu shot, and no the flu is not just a bad cold. The flu shot is recommended for everyone 6 months and up. It’s especially important if you have a baby under 6 months or someone 65 and older in your life, as the flu can be especially dangerous for those age groups.

The flu comes on very suddenly and its symptoms are headache, fever, extreme fatigue and weakness, and severe body aches. To learn more about families affected by flu, go to www.ocph.info, click on Influenza, and then “Why Should I Get a Flu Shot?”
