The Oconto County Board of Supervisors established the Crime Prevention Fund Board (CPFB) in 2015. The purpose of the CPFB is to receive and administer revenues generated by a crime prevention surcharge (CPS) in the amount of $20.00 imposed upon individuals for each misdemeanor and for each felony of which an individual is convicted. It is anticipated that $5,000 will be collected annually.
The CPFB shall allocate fifty (50%) per cent of the CPS to a law enforcement agency within Oconto County and fifty (50%) per cent to one or more non-profit crime prevention organization(s) within Oconto County.
Non-profit crime prevention organizations within Oconto County can apply for this funding by contacting the Administrative Coordinator’s Office at 920-834-6811 for an application packet and additional information.
Application deadline is March 15, 2018
