Sand Lake Conservation Camp June 20-22, 2018
Sand Lake Conservation Camp covers a wide variety of information and hands on experience in wildlife habitat, water quality, fisheries, invasive species, forestry, orienteering, and canoeing. Natural Resource and education professionals teach the programs, serve as counselors and give the campers an inside look at different careers available in natural resources and the environment.
Who can attend? For interested Wisconsin and Michigan U.P students who will be attending grades 6th-8th this fall. It provides positive outdoor experiences, helps foster an appreciation for nature, and introduces a variety of opportunities in natural resources and conservation careers. Topics include wildlife ecology, water quality, fisheries, forestry, outdoor skills.
Where is it? Camp Bird Youth Camp near Crivitz, WI in Marinette County
How much is it?
$100 fee until May 18; after May 18 is $150. Cut-off date is June 1 and space is limited; registrations are on a first-come, first-served basis. Cut-off date is June 1 and space is limited.

* There are 3 scholarships available through the Oconto County Land Conservation Division to enter to win the scholarships; we are asking that your child writes a 100-200 word essay entitled "Why I want to Participate in Conservation Camp" The essay can be mailed or dropped off at the Oconto County Land Conservation Division or you can contact us to have the essays picked up. All essay's most be in by April 20th, 2018.
